Reading

Hello, I’m an avid flag collector and have already acquired the flags of the UK and England. I’m interested in expanding my collection to include the flags of English counties, but I don’t have the flag of Berkshire or Reading yet (if there is one). Is there someone who could help me acquire these or other county flags? Thank you, I am Elena from Serbia.

It’s great to hear about your passion for flag collecting! The flag of Berkshire is actually the county’s official banner, which features gold and blue stripes with a gold oak tree on a green background. However, it’s important to note that not all counties in England have officially recognized flags. As for Reading, it does not have a flag as it is not a county but a town within Berkshire.

To get your hands on the Berkshire flag, you have several options:
Online Retailers: Websites such as Amazon UK or eBay often have county flags available for purchase. You might also find specialized shops that deal with flags from different regions.
Flag Makers: There are custom flag manufacturers that can produce specific flags upon request. This might be a more expensive route, but it’s a reliable way to ensure the authenticity and quality of the flag.
Local Government: You might reach out to local authorities or tourist information centers in Berkshire. They sometimes have merchandise or could point you to where you might purchase an official flag.
Flag Societies: Engaging with or becoming a member of a flag society, like the Flag Institute in the UK, can provide you with resources and contacts who might assist or guide you in acquiring the flags you seek.

I hope these suggestions help you add to your wonderful collection. Best of luck with your pursuit!
