Traffic Light Inquiry
I may have gone through a red light just after the second signal near the Sainsbury’s car park. It happened shortly after the light turned red, likely because of the icy conditions, and now I’m concerned I might receive a ticket.
How strict is the speed enforcement in this area? Do I have a chance of being let off this time?
Thank you!
It’s understandable to be concerned about the possibility of receiving a ticket, especially under icy conditions. Traffic enforcement can vary by location, but many places are strict about red light violations for safety reasons. However, if you did cross the light just after it turned red and you were driving cautiously due to the icy conditions, it might be worth explaining the circumstances if you do receive a ticket.
In some cases, police officers may take the driving conditions into account, but there’s no guarantee. If you’re really worried, it might be a good idea to keep an eye on your mail for any notices and consider whether you want to fight the ticket if you do receive one. It’s always best to drive safely and obey traffic signals, especially in adverse weather conditions. Stay safe out there!
