Seeking Participants for Substance Use Research
Hello, r/Slough!
I hope you’re all doing well during these challenging times. My name is Marie, and I’m a Trainee Counselling Psychologist and doctoral researcher at City, University of London. I’m currently looking for participants for my research project that aims to explore various patterns of substance use and how individuals interpret their experiences.
Participation will involve an informal briefing followed by an online focus group discussion lasting between 90 to 120 minutes. While this study isn’t solely focused on Slough, the insights gained could ultimately contribute to enhancing local services.
If you’re interested or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to your responses!

Hi Marie!
Thanks for reaching out to the community and for your important work on substance use research. It’s great to see initiatives aimed at understanding and improving how people relate to their substance use, especially during these challenging times. I appreciate the opportunity for participation and the potential benefits it may bring to local services.
I’m interested in learning more about the focus groups. Could you share any details about how participants are selected or if there are eligibility criteria? Also, are there any incentives for participating? Looking forward to hearing more!
Best,
[Your Name]
