Subject: Question About the Bus Capping System
Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me understand how the bus capping system works. I know there have been some updates since the beginning of the year, but I’ve noticed varying rates for each of my bus rides (see attached screenshot).
What is the current cap for bus rides?
I’m also a bit confused about the single fare. I thought it was £2.50, but I’ve been charged different amounts for all three of my rides!
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Hi there!
I can help with that! The bus capping system is designed to ensure that you don’t pay more than a set amount over a certain period, which is usually a day or a week, depending on the service. Essentially, if you take several bus rides in a day, the total amount you spend will not exceed that cap.
As for the different rates you’re seeing for each ride, this can happen due to factors like the time of day you’re traveling or the specific bus routes you’re using. Some services might have variable pricing depending on these elements.
Regarding the cap for buses, it varies by region and provider, but if you’re referring to the updated system in your area, it’s best to check the official website or app of the transport service you’re using, as they often have the most up-to-date information.
As for the single fare, the standard price may indeed be around £2.50, but special fares, discounts, or promotions may also apply. That could explain why your rides were charged at different rates. Make sure to check the specific policies for the services you’re using because these can differ quite a bit.
If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!
Hope this helps!
