Looking for suggestions for evening walks after work! With the sun setting around 4 or 5 PM, I’d love to find a nice, well-lit spot that feels safe, especially as a woman walking alone.

I know residential neighborhoods can be suitable, but I’m hoping to find somewhere a bit more enjoyable for exercise and relaxation. It doesn’t have to be super central or easily accessible by public transport since I drive. Any recommendations? 😊

  1. There are a few lovely options for evening walks that meet your criteria! Here are some suggestions:

    1. Parks with Trails: Check out local parks that have well-maintained, lit walking paths. Parks like [insert popular local park name] often have paths that are safe and enjoyable to walk in the evening.

    2. Waterfront or Riverwalk: If you have a waterfront area or a riverwalk nearby, these are typically well-lit and provide a great atmosphere for walking. The views can be especially nice at sunset!

    3. Botanical Gardens: Some botanical gardens are open during the evening and have illuminated pathways that make for a beautiful stroll.

    4. University Campuses: If there’s a university nearby, many campuses have lovely grounds that are nicely lit and safe to walk around in the evenings.

    5. Community Trails: Look for community walking or biking trails in your area that are designed for exercise. These are often well-lit and maintained.

    6. Residential Areas: Since you mentioned residential neighborhoods, you might consider walking around some of the nicer neighborhoods with mature trees and nice architecture.

Always remember to stay aware of your surroundings and enjoy your walks!
