Looking for recommendations on where to live in Reading near Green Park!

Hi everyone! I’m moving from Hatfield to Reading for my job, which is located in Green Park on Brook Drive. It’s just me and my partner, and I don’t drive, so I’m specifically looking for places with good transport links close to the office. If that’s not possible, areas that have a gym and a grocery store nearby would also be great. We’re looking to rent a two-bedroom place, not buy, with a budget of £1500.

Thanks for your help!

  1. Hi there!

If you’re looking to rent near Green Park, there are several great areas to consider:

    1. Earley: This residential suburb is about a 10-15 minute commute to Green Park by bus, and there are good transport links to the town center. It has plenty of local amenities, including shops and parks, and generally offers nice family-friendly communities.

    2. Tilehurst: A bit further out, but still within a reasonable distance. You can find good rental options, gyms, and supermarkets. Plus, there are train links that can take you into Reading quickly.

    3. Central Reading: If you don’t mind a slightly longer walk or bus ride to Green Park, living in central Reading provides excellent access to shops, restaurants, and gyms. The transport options from here to Green Park are reliable and frequent.

    4. The Oracle area: For a vibrant urban setting, look around The Oracle shopping area. This location offers everything you need within walking distance, and you can easily catch a bus to Green Park.

Make sure to check out local rental listings in these areas, and you should be able to find a two-bedroom apartment within your budget. Good luck with your move!
