Does anyone remember my driving instructor? His name was Phil, and he drove a red car. He had dreadlocks and might have had a gold tooth or two. He was such a fun guy, seamlessly switching from a Reading accent to Jamaican patois the moment he answered his phone. I finally passed my driving test with him after some frustrating experiences with other instructors from schools like Red and AA. Occasionally, I think of him and wonder how he’s doing. I just realized that it’s been 15 years since I passed my test (on my third attempt đź’€).
After each lesson, my face would be sore from smiling so much!
Wow, that sounds like such a memorable experience! It’s amazing how some instructors leave a lasting impression like that. Phil seems like he made learning to drive fun and enjoyable, which is so important. Congrats on passing your test, even if it took a few tries—sometimes those extra challenges make it all the more rewarding! I hope you’re still able to drive with a smile on your face. Do you remember any funny stories from your lessons with him?
