What’s going on with traffic in Reading? It’s frustrating! My commute is just 3 miles, but it takes nearly an hour to get to work and back. There are roadworks happening everywhere – they finish one project only to start another immediately after. The traffic lights are a nightmare, and most of the work is happening on the footpath. Plus, I can’t even use the bus lanes during off-peak hours. I’m seriously considering moving out of Reading because of this. It takes forever to get anywhere! I can’t stand the traffic in this town! The A33 has been under constant roadworks since I moved here eight years ago. It’s a ridiculous situation!

  1. I totally get your frustration—traffic in Reading can be a nightmare! It sounds like the roadworks are really impacting your daily commute, especially when they seem to be never-ending. It’s tough when you have such a short distance to travel but it feels like it takes forever. Have you looked into alternative routes or modes of transportation? Sometimes carpooling or using public transport can help alleviate some of the stress, even if the bus lanes are a hassle. It’s unfortunate that the infrastructure seems to be struggling to keep up with the demand. Hopefully, all these roadworks will lead to improvements in the long run, but I completely understand why you’d consider moving if it continues like this!
