Encountering Wildlife: An Unexpected Otter Sighting Near the Abbey Ruins
While I was at work near the Abbey Ruins, something truly remarkable happened that I couldn’t resist sharing. From my vantage point inside the office, I spotted an otter making an unexpected appearance just outside, in the wooded area known as the Blade. Though my video footage leaves much to be desired in terms of quality, I was genuinely thrilled by this spontaneous encounter.
At first glance, I was tempted to dismiss it as a large rat, which prompted a moment of hesitation before I fumbled to grab my phone and capture the experience. Despite the less-than-perfect video, witnessing this creature in its natural habitat offered a delightful and memorable break from the usual routine. It reminds us how wildlife can surprise us in the most mundane of settings, turning an ordinary day into an extraordinary one.
