The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Progress Theatre)
Hey everyone!
You might recall my earlier post about our open auditions for the production of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime’ at Progress Theatre.
I’m thrilled to share that the auditions were a huge success! In fact, we cast someone who found out about it right here on Reddit—how awesome is that?
We’re now putting the finishing touches on the show, which will take the stage from November 21st to 30th.
If the title sounds familiar, it’s likely because of the beloved book from a few years back, and there was also a notable National Theatre production in 2014 that made its way to the West End.
If you’d like to come and support a fellow redditor who’s stepping into the spotlight for the first time, you can grab your tickets here:
Thanks for Reading, and I appreciate your patience with my self-promotion!

What an exciting update! It’s remarkable to see how local productions can bring together talent from unexpected places, demonstrating the power of community engagement in the arts. I’m curious to know how your team approached the staging and interpretation of the source material. Given the book’s unique narrative style and Christopher’s perspective, what creative decisions have you made to convey his voice and experience on stage? Additionally, are there any particular themes or messages you’re hoping to highlight throughout the performance? It sounds like it’s going to be a memorable show, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds! Best of luck with the final preparations!
