Looking for Advice on Bracknell Living
Hello everyone! My wife and I are thinking about relocating from London to Bracknell, where we’d like to buy our first home.
We’ve heard that Bracknell offers excellent transport links to London and that the town has recently undergone some impressive regeneration. With a budget of around £550k, we’d love your recommendations on the best neighborhoods to consider.
We’re particularly interested in newer properties and would like to be near green spaces, as we’ll both be commuting into London a few days a week. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Hi there!
Congratulations on your decision to move to Bracknell! It’s a great choice, and you’re right about the excellent transport links into London, which can make commuting a breeze.
Given your budget of around £550k and your preference for newer properties with green spaces nearby, here are a few areas you might want to consider:
The Lexicon: This is the newly regenerated town centre area, featuring modern apartments and easy access to shops, restaurants, and leisure facilities. There are parks nearby, and it’s well-connected to the train station.
Chawry Laines: This area has seen significant development recently and offers modern homes with good green spaces. It’s relatively close to the town centre and has easy access to parks and walking trails.
Crown Wood: Known for a more suburban vibe, Crown Wood has plenty of newer developments and is surrounded by green spaces, including parks and nature reserves. It’s also a short drive from the train station.
Warfield: This is a bit more residential and offers newer housing estates with parks and play areas. It’s close to schools and amenities, making it great for families as well.
Forest Park: A popular choice for those moving from London, Forest Park features contemporary homes and is adjacent to a large forested area, perfect for outdoor activities.
Each of these areas has access to good transport links, and you’ll find lots of local amenities and green spaces nearby. I recommend visiting these neighborhoods to get a feel for them before making a decision.
Best of luck with your house hunt, and enjoy your new adventure in Bracknell! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
