“Assisting Parents in Learning More about the Health of their 3-6 Year Olds – Version 1”

Calling Parents of Young Children: Participate in Groundbreaking Research on Health and Development

Hello, wonderful parents! 🌟

As a mother of two myself, I understand the joys and challenges that come with raising little ones. Today, I wanted to reach out to fellow parents of children aged 3 to 5 (up to 6 years old) to participate in a fascinating research project being conducted at the University of Reading. This study explores the connection between gut health and brain development in young children, an area that holds great promise for our understanding of childhood growth and wellness.

We are seeking parents of children within the specified age range to join us in a brief study that is both ethical and fully voluntary. Your participation is completely anonymous, ensuring your privacy throughout the process.

Here’s what your involvement would entail:

  • Complete a series of questionnaires: This should take approximately 45 minutes, and you can do it either from the comfort of your home or in person at the university.
  • Provide a stool sample from your child: Don’t worry—the university will provide an easy-to-use kit for this!
  • In appreciation for your time and contribution, you will receive a £25 Amazon voucher. 🎉

As a fellow busy parent, I understand how hectic life can be. That’s why this study is designed to fit flexibly into your schedule while allowing you to contribute to important research and receive a small reward.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, or if you want to find out more about your eligibility, please take a moment to fill out this brief prescreening survey:
