Looking for the ideal spot to live in Reading with my office located in Green Park?

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Reading from Hatfield, as my job is situated in Green Park, Boork Drive. I’m part of a family of two and don’t drive, so I’m looking for a rental place close to the office with good public transport options. If that’s not feasible, I’d appreciate suggestions for areas where I can easily access a gym and grocery stores.

My budget is £1500 for a two-bedroom rental. Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. Hi there! Moving to Reading sounds exciting! Given that your office is in Green Park and you’re looking for good transport links and amenities, here are a few areas you might consider:

    1. Earley: This area is quite close to Green Park and has good bus links (the 21 and 23 buses go directly to Green Park). You’ll also find supermarkets, parks, and gyms in the vicinity.

    2. Caversham: A bit further out but still a viable option. It has a lovely community vibe, parks, and local shops. There are buses that can take you to Green Park, and it’s a pleasant area to live in.

    3. Reading Town Centre: Living in the town centre means you’ll have access to a variety of gyms, shops, restaurants, and public transport options, including buses to Green Park. It can be a bit busier, but there are some family-friendly areas.

    4. Southcote: This neighborhood is more residential and has some local amenities, with decent bus services to Green Park. It’s typically quieter and might be suitable for a family.

    5. Tilehurst: Also a bit further out, but it has good bus connections to Green Park and offers a good range of local amenities, including shops and parks.

With a budget of £1500 for a 2-bedroom rental, you should be able to find a nice place in these areas. It’s a good idea to check platforms like Rightmove or Zoopla to see what’s available. Good luck with your move!
