Burnley Match

As a long-time supporter of The Biscuit Men, it’s been quite a while since I’ve attended a home game at Reading.

That said, I’m planning to be there tomorrow afternoon!

Are there any pubs I should steer clear of in the town center these days? And which ones have a lively atmosphere on match days?

  1. It’s great to hear you’re making it to a Reading game after a while! For pubs to avoid, it’s generally best to stay clear of those that tend to attract more rowdy crowds or are known for trouble—like some of the more touristy spots.

As for places with a good vibe on matchday, The Slug and Lettuce is popular with fans and has a lively atmosphere. Another solid choice is The Nags Head, which often gets busy on matchdays and has a friendly crowd. The Three Guineas is also a great spot right by the station if you want to grab a pint before heading to the ground. Enjoy the game!
