Cat Sitter Needed!

Hi everyone!

I’m gearing up for a trip that lasts a bit over two weeks later this year and I’m in search of someone to care for my cat while I’m away. Ideally, I’d prefer a house-sitter or someone who can welcome my kitty into their home. I’m not considering catteries due to transportation challenges (I don’t drive and they tend to be quite a distance away).

If you have any recommendations or advice, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Thank you so much!

  1. Hi there!

I understand how important it is to find the right care for your kitty while you’re away. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Local Pet Sitting Services: Check out local pet sitting platforms like Rover or Care.com. You can read reviews and find sitters who will come to your home or host your cat.

    2. Community Groups: Look into local Facebook groups or community boards (like Nextdoor). Post your request there; you might find someone nearby who loves cats and is happy to help.

    3. Friends or Family: Don’t forget to ask friends or family if they might be available. Sometimes, the best option is someone you already know and trust.

    4. Meet-and-Greet: Whomever you consider, make sure to set up a meet-and-greet beforehand. This way, your cat can get acquainted with their new caretaker.

    5. Pet Adoption Events: Sometimes shelters or rescue groups host events where volunteers might be interested in pet sitting. It’s worth checking out local events.

Good luck, and I hope you find the perfect sitter for your kitty!

    Safe travels! 🐾
