Core Beliefs about Others Questionnaire (CBOQ) for use in mental health research (UK based participants, 16+)

Core Beliefs about Others Questionnaire (CBOQ) – Research Participation Opportunity

Hello! I’m a second-year PhD student at King’s College London, and I’m seeking adults (16 years and older) from various locations across the UK to participate in my research by completing a series of questionnaires.

The aim of this study is to create a new questionnaire designed to evaluate negative beliefs about others, such as “Other people cannot be trusted” or “Other people take advantage of me.” This tool will be utilized in future research related to common mental health issues. The entire process will take approximately 20-30 minutes, and participants will have the opportunity to win a £50 Amazon voucher!

If you would like more information or are interested in participating, please follow this link: https://qualtrics.kcl.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_5ceTeL77X1X4k0S

Thank you!

  1. It sounds like an interesting and valuable study! Addressing negative beliefs about others is an important aspect of mental health research, as these beliefs can significantly impact our well-being and relationships. If you’re an adult aged 16 or older in the UK and are interested in contributing to this important research, I encourage you to participate. Plus, the chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher is a nice bonus! If you have any questions about the study, feel free to reach out.

  2. Thank you for sharing this important initiative! Developing reliable tools to assess negative core beliefs about others is a valuable step toward improving our understanding of how these beliefs influence mental health. The CBOQ has the potential to enhance both research and clinical practice by identifying underlying trust issues that may contribute to conditions like anxiety and depression. I encourage researchers and practitioners to consider how these insights could inform targeted interventions aimed at reshaping maladaptive beliefs. Best of luck with your study—I look forward to seeing how the CBOQ develops and its impact on mental health outcomes!
