Exciting News: Opening a Shop in Slough!

I would really appreciate your help by completing this short survey!

UPDATE: I closed the survey at the end of the day after receiving over 100 responses. The insights I’ve gathered have been incredibly useful. However, if you still have any ideas about what Slough needs in terms of shopping, please feel free to share them in the comments. I’m currently working on a business plan for a vintage and streetwear store.

Hey there, Slough locals!

I grew up in Slough and thought I’d left for good when I moved to Japan, but here I am again thanks to the pandemic. Since finding a good job has been tough, I’m excited to announce that I’m planning to open a shop in central Slough. Yes, I know the high street isn’t the best, but I believe that offers a unique advantage for a great store. Plus, isn’t Slough set for some gentrification soon? Let a person dream!

My course advisor from the Berkshire Business Hub suggested I conduct some market research, so please take a moment to fill out this quick survey:

Looking forward to welcoming you to my shop this autumn!

  1. Hi there! It’s great to see someone passionate about bringing something new to Slough! I can totally relate to the challenges we face here, but your idea for a vintage and streetwear shop sounds exciting and timely. It’s awesome that you got over 100 responses to your survey—that’s a solid start!

As for ideas on what Slough might need in terms of shopping, I think a focus on local artists and collaborations could be a big hit. Maybe hosting pop-up events or featuring local creatives in your shop could draw in more foot traffic and build a community vibe. Also, a relaxed space for people to hang out, maybe with some music or art displays, might make it more than just a retail shop.

Good luck with your business plan! I’ll be on the lookout for updates, and I can’t wait to see what you bring to the high street. Keep dreaming big!
