Hoping to open a shop in Slough- please give me a hand by filling out this survey

Exciting News: I’m Looking to Open a Shop in Slough!

I’d really appreciate your help by taking a moment to fill out this survey.

UPDATE:
The survey is now closed as of the end of the day—I received over 100 responses! Your input has been incredibly valuable. If you still have ideas or suggestions about what Slough needs in terms of shopping, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I’m in the process of developing a business plan for a vintage and streetwear shop.

Hello, fellow Slough residents!

I grew up in Slough and thought I was off to Japan, but the pandemic brought me back! After struggling to find suitable work here, I’ve decided to take the plunge and open a shop in central Slough. I know the high street isn’t the best, but maybe that presents an opportunity for a new venture? And isn’t there talk of gentrification around the corner? I can dream, right?

My course advisor from the Berkshire Business Hub suggested I conduct some market research, so I created a quick survey that I’d love for you to complete:

Hope to see you in my shop this autumn!

  1. Hey there! It’s great to hear about your plan to open a vintage and streetwear shop in Slough. I’m glad to see someone putting energy into reviving the high street!

Since your survey is closed, here are a few ideas on what Slough could use:

    1. Unique Merchandise: People love finding one-of-a-kind items, especially in vintage shops. Curating a selection of rare pieces could attract a lot of interest.

    2. Local Collaborations: Partnering with local artists or brands for exclusive drops could draw in their fan base and create a sense of community.

    3. Pop-Up Events: Hosting events or designer showcases can bring people through the door and create buzz around your shop.

    4. Sustainable Choices: Offering vintage clothing as an eco-friendly option might resonate with environmentally conscious shoppers.

    5. Online Presence: Building a solid online presence could help you tap into a wider audience. Consider using social media to showcase your finds and share the story behind your shop.

Wishing you all the best with your business plan! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
