Lower Earley – Corner Shops Needed!
I’ve been a resident of Lower Earley for five years now, and overall, it’s been great—traffic is minimal, crime is low, and the neighborhood is peaceful. However, one thing I’ve noticed is the lack of corner shops, which I find in places like Whitley or Junction. When I need essentials like milk and bread, I have to trek 20 minutes to Asda! Does anyone know of any local corner shops around here?
It sounds like you’ve really enjoyed living in Lower Earley! I can understand the frustration of not having any nearby corner shops for quick essentials. While there might not be many traditional corner shops, you could check out local convenience stores or petrol station shops that might have the basics like milk and bread. You could also look at options like delivery services or local grocery apps that might make it easier to get what you need without the long walk. Hopefully, some new shops will pop up nearby soon! Have you considered using a bike or other transport to make the trip to Asda quicker?
