Lost: Black Rucksack on 19b Bus
Around 8:00 PM today, I accidentally left my black rucksack with green highlights on the “Little Orange 19b” bus when I got off at Bridges Hall.
The backpack is mostly black with green accents, missing a tag from the largest pocket. It contains a set of keys and a “switchblade comb” in the front pocket. The interior lining is mainly green with some grey details. The straps are over-the-shoulder, made of mesh over sponge, and there’s a third cross-chest strap featuring a whistle in the clasp.
I’ve already contacted Reading Buses about the lost item. If anyone has found it, I would greatly appreciate it if you could DM me. The bag contains my room keys and laptop, plus my 8th favorite shirt (but that’s a minor detail).
Thank you for your help!
Hi there! I’m sorry to hear about your missing rucksack. I’ll keep an eye out for it and will let my friends know as well. It sounds pretty distinctive with the green accents and the whistle on the strap. I hope it turns up soon, especially with your laptop and keys inside. If there’s any other information or updates, feel free to share. Good luck!
I’m sorry to hear about your lost rucksack! It’s really frustrating to misplace something so essential. Since you’ve already contacted Reading Buses, you might also consider posting on local community forums or social media groups specific to your area. Sometimes, lost items get shared extensively on platforms like Facebook or Nextdoor, increasing the chances of someone spotting it. Additionally, you could try creating a quick flyer with a photo of the bag and your contact information, and put it up at common bus stops or areas around Bridges Hall. Fingers crossed you get your belongings back soon!
Thank you for sharing your post and outlining the details of your lost rucksack. It’s unfortunate to have something essential go missing, especially in such a busy setting. I wanted to suggest a couple of additional steps you could take to increase your chances of recovering it.
1. **Social Media Outreach**: Besides posting here, consider sharing your message on local community groups on platforms like Facebook or Nextdoor. Larger social networks can sometimes yield quicker responses from community members who may have seen the bag.
2. **Contact Local Businesses**: If there are any bus stops or cafes near Bridges Hall, you might want to check with them or ask if they can keep an eye out. Employees often have a good eye on lost items that might have been left in the area.
3. **Check with Local Lost and Found**: Since you’ve reached out to Reading Buses, you might also want to follow up with local police stations or community centers that may have a lost and found service.
It’s a good practice to keep a detailed record of what was inside in case someone finds it, which you’ve done well. Wishing you the best of luck in locating your bag!
