Concern about Ocado Driver’s Questions
I (F) just had my Ocado delivery, and the driver asked me some unusual questions. After he dropped off the items, he inquired if I live alone. Initially, I considered telling him that it was none of his business and asking why he wanted to know. Ultimately, I decided it might be more prudent to say I don’t live alone. Then, he asked if he could use the bathroom, and I told him it was blocked.
Now I’m contemplating whether I should report his behavior to Ocado. I’m unsure if he meant well or if there’s something more concerning about his questions. What do you all think I should do?
It’s understandable to feel uncomfortable with those kinds of questions from a delivery driver. While he may have meant no harm, asking about living situations and requesting to use the bathroom can definitely feel intrusive. It’s important to trust your instincts in situations like this.
If you feel uneasy about his behavior, it would be reasonable to report it to Ocado. Companies typically take such concerns seriously, as they aim to ensure both customer safety and driver professionalism. Providing feedback can help them address any potential issues with their delivery staff. In your report, you can simply detail the questions asked and how they made you feel, without needing to make assumptions about his intentions.
Overall, prioritizing your comfort and safety is the best way forward.
