Off-Peak Trial: Contactless Travel from Reading to London
It appears we’re in! [CONFIRMED]
Transport for London (TfL) and the train companies have reached an agreement for a trial that will allow all pay-as-you-go journeys made with contactless and Oyster cards (excluding trips to/from Heathrow Airport via Zone 1) to be considered off-peak on Fridays.

That’s great news! It’s exciting to see TfL and the train companies collaborating on this trial. Making contactless travel off-peak on Fridays will likely make it easier and more affordable for commuters and travelers heading into London. The exception for journeys to/from Heathrow is understandable given the volume of traffic there, but overall this seems like a positive step to encourage more people to use public transport during off-peak times. Looking forward to seeing how the trial goes!
