“Oral Mistreatment Occurring on Queens Road”

Alert: Verbal Abuse Encounter on Queens Road

I wanted to share a quick heads-up about an incident that occurred today, as the individual in question is quite well-known in our community.

While walking home from work around 4:30 PM, I was followed by a slender, middle-aged woman in a black coat, who is recognized for her verbally aggressive behavior and frequent begging outside the Grosvenor Casino on Queens Road. Despite trying to ignore her with my headphones on, she continued to follow me towards London Street, shouting a barrage of abuse until she eventually gave up.

I’ve encountered her before, and it left me feeling shaken and anxious. As someone who is autistic, these situations can be particularly challenging for me, as I’m often unsure how to respond.

I understand that many suggest ignoring such individuals, but clearly, that didn’t work in my case.

From what I gather, she is known to the police, yet her behavior seems to persist without consequence, which is difficult to understand.

Please take care when walking in this part of town! 🫡
