Guidance for Parents of Toddlers and Preschoolers (Ages 3-6): Supporting Your Child’s Health and Well-being

Exploring the Connection Between Gut Health and Brain Development in Young Children

Hello, wonderful parents! 🌟

As a fellow mom of two energetic little ones (one of whom falls within the 3-5 age range), I am excited to share an intriguing opportunity that combines science and parenthood. I am currently involved in a research project at the University of Reading focused on understanding the relationship between gut health and brain development in young children.

We are seeking parents of children aged 3 to 5 (up to 6) years old to participate in our short study. The research has been ethically approved by the university and is completely voluntary and anonymous, ensuring your family’s privacy.

Participating is straightforward and involves the following steps:

  • Complete a series of questionnaires (approximately 45 minutes, which can be done at home or on campus)
  • Provide a stool sample from your child (a simple kit will be provided for this)
  • As a token of our appreciation, you’ll receive a £25 Amazon voucher! 🎉

I understand how hectic life can be as a parent, which is why I’ve chosen to share this exciting initiative. It offers flexibility and a chance to contribute to vital research while also receiving a little something in return.
