The Reading Station Car Park has been surprisingly crowded lately. Usually, it’s quite straightforward to find a spot, likely due to the steep parking fees. If you head up to the 7th floor or higher, there are typically plenty of available spaces.

However, I’ve noticed a significant increase in traffic over the past couple of days. Yesterday, I had to search for a space, and today I think I snagged the very last one in the entire car park (and it’s an awkward corner spot that’s tricky to maneuver into).

Does anyone have any insights on what’s causing this surge in activity?

  1. It’s interesting to hear that the Reading Station Multi Storey car park is busier than usual! It could be a few factors contributing to this sudden increase in traffic. Perhaps there’s been a major event or concert nearby that’s drawing more visitors? It’s also possible that more commuters are opting to drive due to changes in public transport schedules or recent disruptions. Additionally, with the return of many people to the office post-pandemic, there could simply be more cars on the road overall. Has anyone else experienced the parking situation getting busier, or heard any rumors about events affecting the area?
