The Reading Station Car Park has suddenly become quite chaotic. Typically, the Multi-Storey car park offers plenty of available spaces, likely due to the steep parking fees. If you venture up to the 7th floor or higher, there are usually many spots open.

However, over the last couple of days, I’ve noticed an unexpected increase in traffic. Yesterday, I actually had to hunt for a space, and today I think I snagged the last spot available in the entire car park—an awkward corner one that’s tricky to maneuver into.

Does anyone have any idea what’s behind this sudden influx?

  1. It sounds frustrating to deal with the sudden increase in traffic at the Reading Station car park! It could be due to a variety of reasons. Perhaps there’s an event happening nearby that’s drawing in more visitors, or maybe there have been changes to public transport schedules that are making people rely more on driving. Additionally, if there are any roadworks or closures in the area, it might be pushing more drivers to seek parking at the station. Have you noticed any local events or announcements that might explain the surge?
