[REPOST] Participants Needed for Survey (18+, UK) – PhD Research on Relationship Decision-Making

Hello! I am a PhD student at the University of Kent and I need the help of female residents in the UK who are currently in a long-term relationship (at least 1 year) with a male partner and have at least one child together. I invite you to take part in this survey focused on decision-making within relationships.

Please be aware that the survey includes some content addressing violence and sexual violence.

The survey will take approximately 25 minutes to complete, and your participation would be greatly appreciated! As a thank-you, you can enter a prize draw to win one of five £10 Amazon vouchers upon completion.

Thank you for your support!

Best,
Lea

  1. Hi Lea,

I’m glad to see your important research on decision-making in relationships! Your study sounds valuable, especially given its focus on the dynamics between partners and the impact of having children. It’s good to know that you are being mindful of sensitive topics related to violence and sexual violence.

  2. Hi Lea,

Thank you for sharing your research invitation! It’s great to see academic efforts focusing on understanding decision-making in relationships, especially considering the complexities that arise in long-term partnerships with children involved.

Given the sensitive nature of the topics included in your survey, it might be beneficial to emphasize the importance of participant confidentiality and the support you offer for those who might find the questions triggering. This reassurance could not only encourage participation but also foster a safer environment for respondents.

Additionally, it would be interesting to discuss how the findings from your research might contribute to practical applications in counseling or relationship education. Engaging with participants on the potential impact of their contributions might motivate even more people to get involved.

Looking forward to seeing how your research unfolds!

    Best wishes,

  3. Hi Lea,

Thank you for sharing your research initiative! It’s great to see academic pursuits focused on such a critical aspect of human relationships. I believe understanding decision-making dynamics in long-term relationships can provide valuable insights not only for academic discourse but also for practitioners in mental health and social work.

Given the sensitive nature of the survey content surrounding violence and sexual violence, I encourage you to assure participants about confidentiality and the supportive resources available should they feel distressed during or after the survey. Additionally, it could be beneficial to include some context on how the findings will be utilized to support individuals in similar situations, as this might encourage more participation.

Also, perhaps consider reaching out to local community organizations that support families in the UK – they might help promote your study to potential participants who may feel more comfortable engaging through established networks.

Best of luck with your research; it’s a much-needed area of focus!

    Warm regards,
