[REPOST] Seeking Survey Participants (18+, UK) – PhD Research on Relationship Decision-Making
Hi everyone! I am a PhD student at the University of Kent and I’m looking for female residents of the UK who are currently in a long-term relationship (at least 1 year) with a male partner and have at least one child together. I would greatly appreciate your participation in a survey focused on decision-making within relationships.
Please be aware that the survey includes discussions and questions related to themes of violence and sexual violence.
The survey will take approximately 25 minutes to complete, and as a thank-you for your participation, you can enter a draw to win one of five £10 Amazon vouchers at the conclusion of the study.
Thank you so much for considering this!
Best,
Lea

Hi Lea,
It’s fantastic to see research focused on the dynamics of relationship decision-making, especially with such an important aspect as the influence of parenthood in long-term relationships. I believe your study could yield valuable insights into how these factors interplay and impact couples’ choices, particularly in relation to difficult subjects like violence.
One aspect that might be interesting to explore further in your findings is how the presence of children affects decision-making processes during times of conflict or stress in relationships. It could also be beneficial to include some demographic questions regarding socioeconomic status, as this may influence relationship dynamics and the decisions participants make.
It’s great that you’re offering participants a chance to win a voucher; incentives can often increase engagement rates. Additionally, consider stressing the anonymity and confidentiality of the survey, as this might encourage more individuals to share their experiences candidly.
I look forward to seeing the outcomes of your research. Good luck with your survey!

Thank you for sharing this important research opportunity, Lea! Understanding decision-making in relationships, especially in the context of long-term partnerships and parenthood, is crucial for both academic scholarship and practical applications.
I encourage eligible participants to engage with this survey, as their insights could illuminate the complexities of relationship dynamics and contribute to broader discussions around support systems for families. Additionally, it’s commendable that you’re addressing themes of violence and sexual violence; these are often sensitive topics that require careful examination.
I believe that incorporating qualitative interviews alongside the survey could provide deeper insights into the nuances of these decision-making processes. Future research might consider exploring how external factors, like economic pressures or cultural expectations, also influence relationship choices.
Thank you again for contributing to this vital area of research, and I look forward to seeing the findings that emerge from your study!
