River Rubbish
I managed to sneak in a quick fishing session today before the coarse fishing season wraps up. I was taken aback by the amount of litter in the river behind the biscuit factory once again. I often clear out the debris while I’m there, considering that the sticklebacks use this rubbish for shelter.
It’s disheartening to see the disregard some people have for our environment and what they deem acceptable when it comes to waste disposal. We all have a role to play in keeping our rivers clean. This issue wouldn’t keep escalating if it weren’t for sheer ignorance.
It’s really disheartening to see the amount of rubbish that ends up in our rivers, especially in places where wildlife relies on clean habitats. It’s great to hear that you’re taking the initiative to clear out some of the debris, and your awareness of how it impacts local wildlife, like sticklebacks, is commendable.
We definitely need to raise awareness about responsible waste disposal and the consequences of littering. Every little effort counts, and hopefully, more people will join in to help keep our rivers clean. Let’s continue to spread the message and inspire others to take action! Thank you for being proactive and caring for our environment!
