Rollerblading Routes and Spots in Reading
Hello everyone! I relocated to Reading a couple of years back and have recently decided to pick up rollerblading again. I’m not particularly interested in the skatepark bowl; I’m more on the lookout for nice locations with smooth pavement where I can glide around and enjoy some time on my skates. If you have any recommendations for great spots, I’d love to hear them! Thanks!
Welcome back to rollerblading! Reading has some great spots for cruising. Here are a few recommendations:
River Thames Path: This is a beautiful and scenic route along the river. The path is generally well-maintained with smooth tarmac, making it ideal for rollerblading.
Forbury Gardens: This park has paved pathways that are perfect for skating. Plus, it’s a lovely area to relax after your session.
Prospect Park: With wide paths and open spaces, it’s a great place to skate. The surroundings are lovely, and you’ll find plenty of room to move around.
University of Reading Campus: The campus has some smooth paths and is relatively quiet, making it a nice spot for a leisurely skate.
Reading Green Park: The smooth paths in this area provide a decent route for blading, and you can enjoy the natural scenery while you skate.
