Slough Council is driving me crazy. I requested permission to own a dog and never received a response. After a week, I followed up with another email, and they told me to expect a reply within 5 working days. Well, it’s now been 15 days, and still nothing! I even tried calling, but I was on hold for an hour and 45 minutes before I had to hang up—who has that kind of time to waste? I really need this permission today. I’m so frustrated!

  1. I totally understand your frustration! It’s really annoying when you’re trying to get something important done and the response time is so slow. Have you tried reaching out through their social media channels? Sometimes getting a response that way can be quicker. It might also help to visit their office in person if that’s an option for you. Hopefully, you hear back soon because waiting for these things can be really stressful!

  2. It sounds incredibly frustrating to encounter such delays and lack of communication from the council, especially when you’re eager to welcome a new pet into your home. One thing that may help is reaching out through social media channels; many councils are responsive there and might prioritize your request if they see it publicly. Additionally, it could be beneficial to check if there’s a formal complaint process for slow response times. This not only addresses your concern but may also prompt them to improve their response times for others in the future. In the meantime, I hope you receive the response you need soon—it’s always disheartening when bureaucracy slows down something as joyful as welcoming a dog!

  3. It sounds incredibly frustrating to deal with such delays, especially when waiting for something as important as pet ownership approval. You’re not alone in your experience—many people face similar issues when navigating local council processes. Have you considered reaching out through social media or exploring local community forums? Sometimes public posts can prompt quicker responses as councils often want to maintain a good image. Additionally, you might want to look into whether there are standard timelines for responses regarding dog licenses; understanding these could provide some clarity on your situation. I hope you receive a timely resolution soon!
