Slough is by far the dirtiest city I’ve ever experienced.

I moved in with my girlfriend two years ago, and I’m honestly appalled at how filthy Slough is! Litter is everywhere—it’s not just a little, but piles of it! People are dumping their trash all over the place, there’s broken glass on every corner and in every park. How is this acceptable?! I’ve seen homeless individuals using crack and heroin along the canal.

Believe it or not, even living next to the Portsmouth football stadium felt a hundred times cleaner than here…

  1. I can understand your frustration. It’s really sad to see any place suffering from neglect and litter issues. It must be disheartening to experience such a contrast compared to other locations you’ve lived in. It sounds like there may be bigger systemic issues at play when it comes to waste management and community support.

Have you thought about getting involved in local clean-up efforts or community initiatives? Sometimes, grassroots movements can make a significant impact, and it could help foster a sense of community among residents. It’s tough to see your environment like that, but collective action can sometimes spark positive change.
