Discover the Dukes Head: A Revitalized Local Gem

Greetings, everyone!

I’m excited to share a bit about a pub that you might not have considered visiting in the past – the Dukes Head. My name is Claire, and along with my husband Ed, we took ownership of this charming establishment in May of last year. After completing an extensive renovation, we proudly reopened our doors to the community in August.

The Dukes Head is now a vibrant hub for local gatherings and activities. We’re thrilled to host a range of community clubs, including:

  • Wokingham Life Drawing Society (Join us this Thursday at 7:30 PM)
  • Knit & Sip (Every Monday from 7 to 9 PM)
  • Ukulele Jam (Every other Wednesday at 8 PM)

Additionally, we have a popular Vinyl Club that meets on the third Tuesday of each month, celebrating the joy of music in a relaxed atmosphere.

This Friday, don’t miss our Open Mic Night, where you can enjoy performances from local talent and catch at least one band each month. If you have a club or event in mind that you’d like to host, feel free to reach out to us – we’d love to help make it happen!

In addition to our community events, we’re excited about our fantastic food offerings. Our kitchen features Tataki Pan Asian, and you’ll also find Spudwagon in our car park. You’re welcome to enjoy meals from both kitchens as long as you purchase a drink from the bar. Plus, kids are welcome until 9:30 PM, and well-behaved dogs are more than welcome too!

For those looking for some fun, we have a pool table, free darts, and a selection of board games to enjoy.

We truly hope you’ll come by and experience what the Dukes Head has to offer. You can find us at 56 Denmark Street, Wokingham. We can’t wait to meet you!
