Friar Street was noticeably quieter this evening; it’s usually alive with energy, and as the night progresses, the Spoons crowd often spills onto the street, leading to some occasional chaos.
For now, it’s a bit more subdued.
But does a refurbishment simply mean they’re getting rid of that sticky carpet? 😎
It’s definitely a different vibe when the usual crowd isn’t around! HopeTap has always been such a lively spot; it’s hard to imagine Friar Street without that energy. As for the refurb, maybe they’ll surprise us with something more than just a fresh carpet! Fingers crossed for some exciting changes and not just a “cleaning up” of the old chaos.
