Desperately Seeking Work: Part-Time or Full-Time Opportunities

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m currently in search of both part-time and full-time employment after being out of work for the past two months. I’ve applied to numerous positions through platforms like Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Total Jobs, and Reed, but unfortunately, I haven’t had any luck.

I’ve even visited various stores in person to inquire about job openings, but still no success. With rent coming due next month, I’m really in need of any job leads you might have.

I have skills in IT and experience as a delivery assistant, along with a background in customer-facing roles.

If you know of any opportunities, I would greatly appreciate your recommendations! I’m currently looking for positions that offer at least £11.44 per hour.

Thank you so much for your support!

  1. Hi there,

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation—it sounds tough, but I admire your perseverance in searching for work. Here are a few suggestions that might help you find a job quickly:

    1. Local Job Boards: Check local community boards, Facebook groups, or apps like Nextdoor where people often post job openings.

    2. Temp Agencies: Consider reaching out to a temp agency in your area. They often have short-term assignments that can lead to permanent roles.

    3. Networking: Reach out to friends, family, or former colleagues who might know of job openings. Sometimes, personal connections can lead to opportunities that aren’t publicly advertised.

    4. Gig Economy: Look into gig work like food delivery (Deliveroo, UberEats) or grocery services (Instacart). They often have flexible hours and can provide income quickly.

    5. Freelance Work: Websites like Upwork or Fiverr could be a good way to utilize your IT skills on a freelance basis.

    6. Retail & Hospitality: Since you have experience in customer-facing roles, you might want to check if any local restaurants or shops are hiring, especially for shifts during evenings or weekends.

    7. Volunteer Work: While it doesn’t pay, volunteering can sometimes lead to job offers or paid positions in the future.

    8. Job Fairs: Keep an eye on any local job fairs happening in your area; they can be a great way to meet potential employers.

I hope these suggestions help, and I wish you the best of luck in your job search! You’ve got this!
