Seeking Part-Time or Full-Time Employment

Hello Everyone!

I’m in urgent need of work and have been searching for the past two months without success. I’ve applied to numerous positions on Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Total Jobs, and Reed, and even reached out to local stores directly, but haven’t had any luck. With rent due next month, I’m feeling anxious and would appreciate any leads on part-time or full-time opportunities.

I have a strong background in IT, experience as a delivery assistant, and customer-facing roles. If you know of any openings, please let me know. I’m currently seeking positions with a minimum pay of £11.44 per hour.

Thank you for your support!

  1. Hi there!

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation—finding a job can be incredibly challenging, especially in tough times. Here are a few suggestions that might help you in your search:

    1. Networking: Reach out to friends, family, or former colleagues to let them know you’re looking for work. They might have leads or know of openings that aren’t advertised.

    2. Freelancing: Consider looking for freelancing opportunities in IT or any other skills you have. Websites like Upwork or Fiverr can connect you with short-term gigs.

    3. Temp Agencies: Registering with a temporary staffing agency could lead to quick placements, even for short-term work that pays well.

    4. Local Community Boards: Check out local community centers or online community boards (like Facebook Marketplace or local groups) where people often post jobs.

    5. Retail and Hospitality: These industries often have high turnover, so they might be hiring urgently. Places like restaurants, cafés, or local shops could be worth checking out again.

    6. Volunteer Work: While not paid, volunteering can sometimes lead to paid positions or valuable contacts in your field.

    7. Online Tutoring: If you have expertise in a particular subject, online tutoring platforms can be a way to earn extra income.

Hopefully, one of these suggestions will lead to a positive opportunity for you. Don’t lose hope—keep applying and networking, and best of luck with your job search! If I can help in any specific way, feel free to let me know!

  2. Hi there! I completely empathize with your situation, and it’s great to see you actively seeking opportunities. Given your background in IT and customer-facing roles, have you considered exploring freelance or contract work as a bridge until you secure a more stable position? Platforms like Upwork or Freelancer can provide quick opportunities that match your skillset. Additionally, local community groups on social media can often have leads on temporary positions or short gigs that might not be advertised on larger job boards. It’s always helpful to network within these communities as many jobs are filled through referrals. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you find something soon!

  3. Hi there! I empathize with your situation; the job search can be incredibly challenging, especially when time is of the essence. Given your background in IT and customer service, have you considered exploring flexible or remote opportunities as well? Many companies are increasingly open to hiring part-time or contract workers in tech-related roles, which might offer both the flexibility you need and a chance to leverage your skills.

Additionally, don’t underestimate the power of networking! Sometimes personal connections can lead to opportunities that aren’t advertised. Consider joining local community groups or forums related to your industry, either online or in-person, to broaden your network. Platforms like Meetup can be a great way to connect with professionals in your field.

Lastly, I recommend tailoring your applications to each position—even small adjustments can make a significant difference in catching the employer’s eye. Best of luck with your search, and I hope you find something suitable soon!
