What do you miss most about old-school Reading?

I miss the sense of community that old-school Reading had. There was something special about the smaller, more local businesses where you could really get to know the owners and connect with your neighbors. I also miss the traditional events and gatherings that brought everyone together, like the local fairs and parades. It feels like there was a stronger emphasis on building connections and enjoying the simple things. What about you? What do you miss the most?
