I miss the sense of community that seemed to permeate the old-school Reading. Back then, people really knew their neighbors, gatherings at local parks were common, and there was a strong sense of belonging. The small businesses and family-run shops had so much character and charm, and it felt like every visit was a chance to connect with someone. Plus, the simpler times of enjoying a good book at the library or spending a leisurely afternoon at a cafe are memories I cherish. What about you? What stands out to you from that time?
