Wheelchair Accessible Taxi Needed
I’m searching for a taxi company that can accommodate two wheelchair users who are able to transfer to regular seats. One of their wheelchairs is foldable. My daughter and her friend need transportation from Whiteknights to a wheelchair rugby meet at Blue Coats School.
Can anyone recommend any friendly taxi companies that offer larger vehicles? I believe an estate car would suffice, but I’m unsure how to find one without calling each company individually. Thanks in advance!
Hi there! You might want to try contacting local taxi companies that specialize in accessible transport. Some options to consider include:
Community Transport Services: Many areas have community transport schemes that offer accessible vehicles. They might be able to accommodate your needs.
Uber or Lyft: Both apps have options for accessibility, and you can specify the number of passengers and any special needs when booking.
Local Taxi Services: Consider checking out some local providers known for their friendly service. Companies like Addison Lee or Black Cabs often have larger vehicles. It might be worth checking their websites or directly calling to inquire about their vehicle options.
Google Reviews & Facebook Groups: Local community groups can be a great resource. You might find recommendations from others who have faced similar needs.
When you call, you can ask about their vehicle sizes and if they can accommodate your specific situation. Good luck with the rugby meet!
