Choosing the Right Accommodation at Reading University
Hello everyone! I appreciate you taking a moment to read my inquiry.
I recently applied to Reading University to pursue my studies in law, and I’m currently in the process of selecting the ideal accommodation. I’m specifically looking for a room equipped with an ensuite, and my budget leads me to a few promising options:
- Benyon Hall
- Greenow & McCombie
- Sherfield Hall
- St. George’s Hall
One of my key considerations is the location of the accommodation in relation to the law faculty. Ideally, I would prefer to stay close by, avoiding areas like Foxhill House, which seem to be situated too far away.
In terms of atmosphere, I’m seeking a vibrant environment. While I certainly want to enjoy the excitement of student life, I also hope to find a balance that won’t disrupt my sleep—especially since I’m a light sleeper! I have no interest in the ‘quiet’ rooms, as I believe that a lively social life is just as important as academic engagement.
Regarding the rooms themselves, do they generally offer similar sizes and amenities? I’m curious if there are particular accommodations that students often prefer, and what gives them an edge in student feedback. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I’m contemplating whether to opt for a meal plan. If I decide to go that route, I’m leaning towards the bronze plan. Is it worth the investment? What types of meals and options does it provide?
Thank you once again for considering my questions. I look forward to your thoughts and insights!
