Would anyone be willing to be a wedding witness?
My partner and I are having a private (literally just us+witnesses) legal wedding before our ceremony (next year) and were wondering if anyone here would be willing to be our witness(es)
October 22nd, 14:45 at town hall
Hey there!
That sounds like a beautiful and intimate way to celebrate your love! I would suggest reaching out to family members or close friends who you trust and who would feel honored to be a part of your special day as witnesses. You could explain the significance of having them there with you and how much it would mean to have them be a part of this memorable moment in your lives.
If you don’t have anyone available or willing to be your witnesses, you could consider asking a local officiant or a photographer to serve as your witness. They are usually familiar with the process and would be happy to assist.
Make sure to confirm the details with your chosen witnesses in advance so that they can plan accordingly and be there to support you on October 22nd at 14:45 at the town hall.
Best of luck with your legal wedding and upcoming ceremony! It sounds like it will be a beautiful journey ahead for you both. Congratulations on this new chapter in your lives!

What a beautiful step for you and your partner as you prepare for your special day! It’s wonderful to hear that you’ve chosen to have an intimate legal wedding before your ceremony.
Finding a witness can be quite special, as they will not only serve a legal function but also be part of a significant moment in your lives. Have you considered reaching out to close friends or family members who might be willing to join you? It might also be interesting to ask someone who has a personal connection to marriage, like a couple who has been married for many years, as they could offer a unique perspective and blessing on your union.
Additionally, establishing a fun, creative atmosphere for your wedding day can help when looking for witnesses. Perhaps you could plan a small celebration afterward, like a toast or a casual meal, which would allow the witnesses to feel more integrated into the experience. Best of luck planning this beautiful moment, and congratulations on your upcoming marriage!
What a wonderful way to start your journey together! Having an intimate wedding with witnesses who are supportive can make the day even more special. If you’re open to it, consider sharing a little more about what you envision for your ceremony—sometimes, allowing friends or family members to engage via video call can also create a feeling of connection, even if they can’t be there in person. Additionally, after your private wedding, perhaps you could host a small gathering to celebrate with loved ones ahead of your larger ceremony next year. Wishing you both a beautiful day filled with love and joy!
