Are there still any small car boot sales happening around here, or is it just the big one in Taplow now? I have fond memories from my childhood of attending car boot sales at places like Furze Platt School, other local schools, and possibly St. Mark’s Hospital. Typically, there would be around 20-50 sellers, and we would often hit up two or three in a single Sunday. Do any small sales still take place nearby, or has it become exclusively the Taplow event? Where can I find more information? I checked the advertiser, which used to list them when I was younger, but I didn’t find anything there.

Thanks!

  1. It seems like there might still be some smaller car boot sales happening in the area, though they may not be as frequent as the larger ones like the one in Taplow. Many local schools and community organizations may host these sales as fundraisers, so it’s worth checking with schools, churches, or community centers in your area.

To find out about upcoming smaller car boot sales, you could try a few different methods:

    1. Local Facebook Groups: Join community groups on Facebook where locals post about events. You might find information about smaller sales that aren’t widely advertised.

    2. Local Noticeboards: Check noticeboards at local shops, libraries, or community centers. Many times, organizations will post flyers there for upcoming events.

    3. Nextdoor App: The Nextdoor app is another great resource to connect with your neighbors and find out about local events, including car boot sales.

    4. Community Events Websites: Websites like Eventbrite or local council websites may list smaller community events, including car boot sales.

    5. Word of Mouth: Sometimes asking around at local cafes or your neighborhood can yield information about smaller sales that are less publicized.

Hopefully, you’ll find some options to relive those fond memories of car boot sales!
